Want to know how to use certains tools inside the battle editor: jump to .
To create a charting file, we need to open the battle editor. For that open the game and go to Custom Battles and click Battle Editor to open it. For that once again open Everhood 2, go to Custom battles and and click Tools.
Open the Moonscraper Everhood Ultimate folder and double click the executable
Here is how it should look
Click the play button in the top bar
Click pause button when playing
Click there to move thought the song
Go to waveform and click “Song”
Now the highway should look like that
Setting the BPM is really important in order to place notes in the song with accuracy. First we need to guess the song BPM.
You should now see a new windows that popped up in left
Click the white box and play the song. When you feel there is a beat, tap the spacebar of your keyboard. Tap until you get an average bpm.
If you feel it's clunky, feel free to check an online BPM analyser on the web.
The notes will be projectiles of the battle. In order to place Notes, click the Note icon in Tools windows on the left.
In order to erase notes, click the Erase icon in Tools windows on the left.
Now click over a Note to make it disappear.
The charting Battle Editor includes 20 types of notes in order to create different types of projectiles. See each note type as a different projectile type.
To change Note type, make sure you have the note brush turned on, and click the dropdown located to the right of the editor.
In Everhood battles, we use sections to create some special events in a particular moment of the song. In order to create a section, click the 4 green bars located in tools window.
The charting file must Atleast have ONE section otherwise it will not work
Click on the highway and make sure to name it.
Make sure each section name are UNIQUE otherwise game will no function properly by not triggering the section with the same name
Claps sounds are used to make a sound each time you hit a note during the Battle Editor play mode, useful to make sure the notes are well placed. For that just toggle ON/OFF the is box.
“Step” are useful to add that extra accuracy needed when placing notes.
Adjust it by increasing or decreasing the step value.
Make sure to tweak those values to your need, play with them, no need of explanation
After you finished Charting (Placing notes and sections), go to File and click Save, put whatever name you want.
Save inside your unity Mod folder !
